Tor.34/2541 November 12, 1998 Subject: Additional report on the preparation for the year 2000 problem (Baab 57 (Y2K)) Dear President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Loxley Public Company Limited ("Company") is a trading commercial company located at 102 Soonthornkosa Road, Klongtoey, Bangkok, Tel. 240-3000. The Company would like to report on the preparation for the year 2000 problem No.2 as for the month ended October 31, 1998 as follows: 1. Database system and computer software : From the survey, the Company have 27 computer system which consist of 616 sub programs. Only 459 programs need reintegration in database involved in day-month-year. As at the third quarter, all of the program has been integrated and on operation now. 2. Computer hardware and assessment : The inventory and assessment has been integrated. We found that most of the hardware would not be effected by the Y2K problem because it has been operated approximately 2-3 year only. The main integration has been on the operating system for 2 main servers and firewall system which expect to be completed by the fourth quarter. The Cost for the integration is estimated at Baht 1 million. 3. Analysis from executives : The Company's executive have considered and foreseen the Y2K problem. Company and subsidiaries belive that the problem will be solved and accomplished within the time frame.
