Comedian, singer appoint distributor for new sauces
Famous Thai comedian Mum Jokmok and Thai country singer Petch Saharat have launched a sauce brand called Mum Zaab and signed a contract appointing Loxley Trading as its distributor.
The Mum Zaab brand showcased two key products, "Nam Pla Ra" fermented fish and beef dipping sauce (D Wua), at the signing ceremony.
Mum Jokmok, whose real name is Petchtai Wongkamlao, and his business partner Mr Petch, both men representing Mum-Petch Trading Co, recently signed an agreement with Suroj Lamsam, chief executive and president of Loxley Plc, to appoint Loxley Trading as the distributor of Mum Zaab sauce products.
Mr Petchtai, Mum-Petch Trading chairman, said Mum Zaab features a variety of sauces and seasoning products.
He said his fermented fish sauce is tastier than others available in the market because it uses 100% saltwater fish, and his beef dipping sauce, which is famously called D Wua dipping sauce among Thais in the Northeast, is a competitive play to penetrate a developing market.
"For any products to succeed, besides their quality, strategic and professional marketing and distribution are crucial elements. As a result, we feel confident to have Loxley Trading as our distributor for both online and offline channels," Mr Petchtai said.
Mr Suroj said the fish dipping sauce's market valuation in Thailand is attractive as it is worth billions of baht a year.
As for the beef dipping sauce market, there are only a few players, which is why Mum Zaab and Loxley Trading see great sales growth opportunities. Mr Suroj said he had full confidence that Mum Zaab will succeed.
